First International Web Applications Forum for Mandarin Education was held on September 23, 2009 in Wangjing Hi-tech Park. The forum was organized by Yeeha Mandarin Co., LTD. About 20 experts and scholars from the field of the promotion of Chinese language and culture were invited to discuss the problems existing in TCFL(Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language). Some of attendees were from domestic colleges, publishing houses and companies, others were volunteer teachers. The forum particularly focused on the application of network technologies in Chinese language instruction. Issues like the publishing of three-dimensional content, the feasibility of teaching Chinese online and so on were discussed during the meeting.
